Dodgy Liars. be Warned!

Hi Guys. So sorry to read all the bad experiences from past customers (or victims) of Australian Vanlines. Firstly, I will tell you all that this company has gone into LIQUIDATION. They were taken to court in NSW in 2015 on behalf of the ATO. The constant years of dodgy dealings finally caught up with them!! This company (NSW) is a FRAUD!! I know the other Australian Vanlines in Australia are facing liquidation too..Dodgy, lying, unprofessional and sneaky!! For anyone THINKING about using them - STAY WAY!!. Run fast. The are currently working under an alias (being controlled by another company) called ''Move Management''. DON'T BE FOOLED. They are attached to Australian Vanlines. My personal experience with Australian Vanlines was an absolute NIGHTMARE. INTENSE DAMAGES..Abhorrent. It would leave your skin crawling.. additionally, items were not packed properly, etc, etc. Impact damage, water damage..Thousands of dollars worth of damages. Naturally, the company denied it all. I took the company to court and they STILL ignored all subpoenas and legal court demands.. sneaky and VERY VERY.. STUPID!! What a BAD MOVE!! Because they ignored all legal communication (thinking it would simply ''go away'') and it only made it worse for them. Needless to say I won (via the courts) and was legally compensated to repair/replace all damages. which I have now done so.. This company represents ALL that is dodgy in the shipping/business world. They think they can screw people and get away with it. Google ''Australian Vanlines Winding Up Order'' or ''Australian Vanlines Liquidation'' - and you'll see they are GOING..UNDER. If you have any communication with either Australian Vanlines or their ''alias'' company, Move Management. STAY..FAR..AWAY.      .

Worst Moving Experience Ever.

We moved from NSW to The United States. When getting quotes they seemed competent and prompt. That was the end of the good bit. From there on in it was a nightmare.  We paid for packing and express service so that our goods would get there in 6 weeks. The packers were meant to arrive at 11 am but didn't come till 7 pm. Luckily we had done most of it ourselves so they only had a few boxes to do. We didn't begrudge the staff as they were obviously overworked. When our goods didn't arrive we contacted them. We made numerous calls and sent untold emails. No one knew what was going on and promised to get back to us. No one ever did. Finally we did some Internet research and found the owner of the company on LinkedIn. He at least found out what had happened. The person looking after our goods went on holidays and they just sat at Sydney, they were still there. Finally our goods that were meant to arrive early September got to town mid December. To add insult we were then told the local depot was busy and that we wouldn't get them till after Christmas. We ended up hiring our own truck and going to the depot ourselves.   The delay cost us thousands and thousands of dollars purchasing necessities that we already owned and all the company were prepared to do is give us $1000. Considering we had paid $600 extra for express service this was in reality the grand total of $400 compensation for a several month delay that cost us thousands.

Time wasting in response to client complaints.

I contracted AVL to move my furniture from Perth to Auckland and was given a delivery door to door estimate of six to eight weeks. AVL delivered my furniture some for weeks late. I complained to their management who initially tried to lay the blame on me but then capitulated culpability when a pressed the point of contractual obligation, admitting that my belongings had missed two shipments. I was promised compensatory action however after a month and a half of phone calls to their Australian head office and un replied to email, nothing was affected. Indeed an office worker on my final call to their office tried to mislead me again into believing that the promised delivery date was from the moment the container ship left their Eastern Australian port. When I advised the oblivious individual that management had already admitted liability, her awkward answers to further questions as to the now elusive management clearly illustrated their dishonesty. No promised compensation was ever provided, surprisingly. This is an extremely questionably company and should be avoided by anyone requiring international or interstate removal services.
